Challenge:
The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) needed a designer to work with the education committee to develop a new look and corresponding materials for the 2016 ASTHO Annual Meeting.
Solution:
A new color palette of bright pastels and grey tones was created to go with the blue and orange of the existing ASTHO brand. Custom icons were illustrated to highlight all the work that ASTHO does each year as well as show the specific work that their most important members do. Additional icons act, along with an economical internal tab system, as a way-finding system so that meeting attendees can easily flip to the information they need. Notes pages were added to the back of the booklet so attendees could keep important information learned at the conference as well contacts in one convenient place.
Result:
The Compendium was not only quickly produced and printed thanks to a clean and simple design but attendees held on to the booklet as a memento of the experience assuring that the personal value the meeting brought to them would stay on their minds all year long.
